Summary

Our final idea for our fashion film is the subject of androgyny in fashion and the stereotypes that come with that.
The comparison between masculine and feminine and as it is a trend in fashion nowadays which makes it relevant to modern day.
The way we perceive others and how they perceive you. Due to culture and our expectations we make assumptions about people down to their appearance and how they dress ie; short hair, masculine clothes and assuming that they must be gay.
Discrimination is a silent, and wrong thought process that we all as individuals self consciously partake in. This is why we feel silence will be effective throughout our video in showing that, and also how discrimination and judging someone can't really be altered and is kept silent in society.
The way we dress is such a huge part of expressing our thoughts and expressions that it has helped to increase how people are judged and stereotyped. As androgyny is a big trend, we decided to focus on that aspect. We want our viewers to think about the way girls who choose to dress that way are perceived. Also the fact that they can look feminine or masculine and still be exactly the same person.
Moreover our model has quite an androgynes style and has faced stereotypes, this also helps develop our understanding and can help put video to look more sincere and believable.
